For PPL / RPL students there are only medical requirements.
Executive Flight Academy wants to ensure that ATPL/CPL students have a personality and flight aptitude which is compatible with the demands of the airlines. These students need to do a full assessment with both the EFA and an independent testing agency specialized in flight aptitude tests. We use an independent agency because we want to have an impartial result, free of economic interest. (See Why Us?)
Furthermore, ATPL and CPL applicants need to satisfy the following general pre-entry requirements:
Fluency in Dutch and/or English
Age
– Minimum age 17 at the start of the training
– Maximum age 35 at the start of training (If you desire a career as an Air Traffic Pilot.)
Please note: For other aviation careers, such as air-taxi pilot or flight-instructor, there are no set age limits.
Medical
Height between 157,5 cm and 203 cm
If you are taller then 190,5 cm, your maximum leg length cannot exceed 130 cm
Wearing glasses is no problem at all for commercial pilots, but not permissible for jet fighters.
However, the maximum correction allowed is +/- 6. Severe color blindness is also an issue.
Please note: Exercise the utmost caution with laser treatments for your eyes as this treatment can disqualify you!
The Aero Medical examination is compulsory for every pilot. The initial examination takes half a day and costs between 250 and 350 Euros.
