Multi-Engine Rating (VFR)
Do you want to go faster or take more people? Then the Multi Engine Piston (MEP) VFR Rating is for you! A light twin flies faster, has an extended range, offers extra safety due to the 2nd engine and the de-icing options. Our training is given on the Diamond DA42 Twin Star. A 7 hour theory course and an exam to be taken at the school are a compulsory part of your training. We will test your knowledge of the aircraft and general multi-engine stuff like asymmetric flight on one engine. Of course a lot of attention is given to the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit FADEC and EFIS systems you need to master to fly this beautiful aircraft…
Before you can start Multi-engine training you need to have 70 hrs PIC (Pilot In Command) time in your logbook.
